Anyone know any home remedies to get rid of blackheads?

A good facial in your local beauticians and then get an exfoliating face wash and use twice a day every day and this will prevent most of them from coming back.Anyone know any home remedies to get rid of blackheads?
Hi!

I looked for over 8 years for a product against blackheads.

Clarins has an awesome line, for night time you need the toner and oil, its a special oil that dissolves blackheads (for real) and cleans your face overnight of impurities. Black heads are basically a hardened oil mixture that was secreted and oxidized (which makes the outside part black) and since water and oil don't mix no water based product can ';clean'; your blackheads away, just try say putting certain foundations or makeups on the mirror and if you wipe it with water it smudges all over but put a little baby oil and wipe and tada! it comes off super clean AND dissolves it. This oil also dries up the pimples and the black heads all the way down. I recommend using it for 6-8 weeks then going for a facial (cost maybe 25$) and ask for a facial specializing in black head removal or you can look it up online, how to steam first and all and yes using a tissue paper not your fingernails really is better, I know cause now I have little brown spots and acne scars from years of picking with nails, tissue forms a little barrier so that the sharp edge of your nails doesn't cut the thin outer cell layer.

You can find it cheaper on eBay as it is a bit pricey in stores. Here is the name: Oil: CLARINS Lotus Face Treatment Oil Combo SKIN 1.4oz/40ml will last forever , you put toner on your face first, when your face is still moist you put 4 drops of oil (one on each finger, you only need a teeny bit) then rub your finger tips together on other hand and after a few secs of rubbing use your finger tips to dab it on top of your moist skin... just be careful not to put more than 4-6 small drops of oil and that your face is wet from toner and to dab it over not rub. Toner: NEW Clarins Toning Lotion with Iris OILY Skin Toner 200mL.

The body shop also has an awesome mattifying moisturizing tea oil face gel.

Also only use non-comedogenic products (These products are less likely to cause blackheads (open comedones) or whiteheads (closed comedones)), it will be normally written in small on the label if they are non-comedogenic.

start yoga
Invest in a facial steamer, then after your pours are open cleans with an oil free cleanser. Make sure you close the pours again though with a good splash of cold water on the face.

Or better still have a nice relaxing sauna once a week, this is why sauna's were invented. To rid the skin of impurities.

Another point to remember is before you apply your make up, put a thin layer of baby oil on your face first. This will create a barrier so that the make up doesn't clog up your pours. It also means it's easier to take your make up off at night.

Then there is also a healthy diet, cut down on fatty foods. And eat fresh steamed veggies and plenty of fruit.
Hiya . you could try using a deep cleanser then exfoliate using one of the apricot facial scrubs then tone and moisturise ,deep cleanse every day and use the scrub a couple of times a week, tone and mosturise after each cleanse too , you should find after a few weeks your skin is looking better and the blackheads will be gone . i hope this helps xx
yep two fingers...squeeze....and there you go...big splodge on the bathroom mirror! *LOL*

I used to steam my face with one of them beauty facials. But a bowl of boiled water will do.

I use a facial wash each time I wash my face and then a cleanser and toner finishing off with eye cream and face cream.

Hydrogen peroxide will burn your skin! DO NOT USE!
wear less make up and remember to take it off every night with make up remover. Also the other advice from the girls on here.
1st wash your face, removing make up and oils. Hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball 2x a day. am and pm. It acts as an astrigent but also fades the blackheads. I thought it was crazy but it helps!!! Exfolliate to clean out the ones on service helps in addition.
My skin is sensitive to many products so I have always used distilled Witch Hazel. You can buy it at any chemist. Not using makeup has also helped me.
Cleanse your face with unboiled milk, gently rub a coarse cloth dipped in milk to remove the blackheads. Steam your face with herbs like lavender, lemon peel and mint leaves added to the water and let the skin soak up its goodness. expholiate, then moisturise.once a week for younger people once every 2 weeks for older people.
