Not necessarily, it could be a cist, they are kind of like pimples but much bigger and much more painful. It can take days to go away or pop and they can reoccur on other areas of your back, legs, etc. I would take a hot shower and continue with hot packs as much as you can. Remember if you try to pop it some of the infection will be pushed back into your skin and could cause infection. I hope this helped. MC
